Where it Began
In the Community
Superior Welding & Contracting is not only a trusted and growing name in welding and contracting, but a company deeply committed to our community. We proudly sponsor local youth athletes, including Riley Foster, a U12B Ringette player for the Sault Ice Hawks, Lincoln Rennison of the U12 AAA Greyhounds, and in previous years, other local Junior Greyhound players.
We actively participate in community events, such as providing a work truck to pull a community member’s float in the Echo Bay Santa Parade. Beyond community involvement, we foster a family-oriented culture by hosting special events and treating our employees as part of our extended family. Our commitment to giving back and supporting local initiatives reflects who we are and the values we stand for.
Committed to Safety
- SWC is fully committed to the highest level of Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- All our employees engaged in welding are supplied 3M Adflo Welding shields.
- We have successfully completed over 220,000 hours worked with no lost time injuries.
- With the use of internal and external HSE Training Systems we ensure that all our employees receive needed training to exceed legal and client requirements.
- All our procedures, policies, standards, inspections, safe work plans, toolbox talks, SDS sheets, manuals, and Audits are available to every employee from the simple online access of the Site Docs app.
- All near misses, incidents or accidents are reported through the site docs app for permanent recording for future review and prevention from occurring the second time.
- Field level risk assessment (FLRA) cards are completed through the app and available anytime for review and signatures from supervisors, H&S, or peers. As each mine uses different cards, forms are created to the match the standards and requirements set out at each location.
